SAT INFORMATION and DATES
The SAT has three sections: Reading, Math, and Writing
Each section is scored with a 200-800 range. The maximum possible score for the SAT is 2400.
- Reading
- Sentence completion (tests vocabulary knowledge)
- Passage reading (tests reading comprehension and vocabulary)
- Math
- Algebra I
- Geometry
- Algebra II
- Writing
- Grammar (tests recognition of grammar rules in context)
- Essay writing (students write a persuasive essay)
