Ames Private SAT and ACT Tutoring

Ames Seminars offers outstanding private tutoring. Only skilled and veteran SAT and ACT teachers do our tutoring, therefore they are familiar with both the tests and our great curriculum. Because Ames Seminars only hires experienced and wonderful teachers, you can be sure our tutors know how to teach!

Please note: All tutoring sessions are held at Ames Seminars. We are very serious about helping you raise your SAT or ACT score and we do not want you to be distracted by anything at home. These tests are hard and you will learn how to succeed on every question type. When you finish our program you will have learned how to attack each problem, extend your ability to concentrate, and you will maximize your score!

Our Complete Program for the SAT or ACT includes:

Fifteen 90-minute sessions (22.5 hours total).
A binder containing extra practice material and extra tests for homework practice. Only actual SAT or ACT material will be used.
Three full-length practice SAT or ACT tests which will be computer scored. The first test is taken before tutoring begins. More practice tests are always available at Ames Seminars.
Before the actual tests, our private tutoring students are invited to reviews and practice tests with other Ames students in a classroom setting.

Fee: $2,250

One Subject SAT Tutoring:

Some students need help with only one section of the SAT (Reading, Writing or Math), so we have a Single Subject Tutoring Plan for these students.

Five 90-minute sections sessions (7.5 hours total).
Binder and review sessions are included.

Fee: $750

One Subject ACT Tutoring:

Some students need help with only one section of the ACT (Reading, Writing, Math, English or Science), so we have a Single Subject Tutoring Plan for these students.

Three 90-minute sections sessions (4.5 hours total).

Fee: $450

Tutoring for the SAT or ACT with Bill Ames

Each season (spring, summer, and fall) Bill Ames tutors a few SAT and ACT students. Bill has been helping high school students prep for these tests for over 15 years. Call for information. These spaces fill quickly!

Tutoring with Bill includes:

Twelve 90-minute sessions (18 hours total)
A binder containing practice material and extra tests for homework practice. Only actual SAT and ACT material are used.
Before the actual tests, our private tutoring students are invited to reviews and practice tests with other Ames students in a classroom setting.
Three computer scored practice SATs or ACTs.

Fee: $2,520

One Subject SAT Tutoring with Bill

Some students need help with only one section of the SAT so we have a Single Subject Tutoring Plan for these students:

Four 90-minute sections sessions (6 hours)
Reviews and practice tests

Fee: $840

One Subject ACT Tutoring with Bill

Some students need help with only one section of the ACT so we have a Single Subject Tutoring Plan for these students:

Three 90-minute sections sessions (4.5 hours)

Fee: $630
