THE ACT PREP SEMINARS

The Ames 4-session ACT course prepares students for all four parts of the core test plus the ACT Writing Test. This is a fast-paced course, but you will learn A LOT!
Private ACT tutoring is also available!
- ENGLISH
- The ACT likes to test grammar and punctuation. We will provide plenty of review and practice so you will be comfortably familiar with those topics, as well as the unique format.
- READING
- We will teach you to organize and critically read the passages in the ACT. You will quickly become better at focusing on the text and you will be well prepared to correctly answer the reading questions.
- MATH
- The test covers math from pre-Algebra to Trigonometry. We will review the frequently-tested topics as we help you brush up on things you have forgotten. In addition, there is plenty of practice so you will be ready to tackle the test!
- SCIENCE
- Even strong science students can goof up on this section if they don't have a plan or don't practice. After this course, you'll have both! We will review the critical reading of charts, graphs and tables and the deductive reasoning needed to do well on this section.
- WRITING
- We will teach you to tackle the ACT essay topics with confidence! You will learn the keys to writing an effective, organized essay.
