The ability to write clear and organized essays is a crucial skill for success in high school and college.

In our classes and tutoring sessions students learn how to translate their good ideas and strong opinions into well-written essays. We help students get rid of the frustration they experience when the vitality and structure of their thoughts are lost when they write.

Essay Writing Seminar

In our writing course students learn how to:

Plan well-organized multi-paragraph essays
Develop strong thesis sentences
Support opinions with specific details and references
Conclude essays in a logical, decisive manner
Enjoy the writing process

In our small classes students find a positive, encouraging atmosphere. They write often and receive rapid feedback. After attending this class, students approach essay assignments with a coherent plan and logical construction. Future essays in History and English classes and on the SAT and AP tests will reflect an ability to think logically and write confidently!
