Test Prep
We offer courses and tutoring for the SAT, ACT, Subject Tests, and PSAT. We know that preparing for major tests like the SATs can be daunting and nerve-wracking. Ames Seminars provides the expertise and atmosphere that inspire success. We view mastering these tests as a process (like learning a sport or musical instrument). The fundamental skills provide the foundation, but practice and feedback are also critical. Thus our courses include many follow-up and practice opportunities after students take our courses.

Students and families have different needs regarding help with the college search process. Our programs range from free College Information Evenings to in-depth workshops and private college counseling. FOLLOW-UP SUPPORT for the SAT and ACT CLASSES
This is very important! Reading, Writing, and Math reviews and practice tests are included in the SAT course! Many of our students get their highest score on the second or third try, so we help students remain focused and motivated.

Ames Seminars’ commitment to schools is manifest in the partnerships we have formed with Bay Area and Northern California schools. These partnerships (currently with 35 schools) help schools and educational organizations provide valuable services (e.g., SAT and PSAT courses and Practice Tests), often as fundraisers.
